📰 Valley Beat Community Safety Newsletter Issue: November 2025 Subject: Rise in Vehicle & Motorbike Thefts – Stay Alert & Protected
Dear Residents, We want to make you aware of an increase in thefts of vehicles and motorbikes across the Valley Beat area. These incidents have occurred in residential streets, driveways —often during late evening and early morning hours. Our local policing team is actively investigating and increasing patrols in affected areas. However, community awareness and proactive prevention are key to reducing these crimes.
🔐 Crime Prevention AdviceTo help protect your vehicle or motorbike, please consider the following tips: - Always lock your vehicle or bike – Even if you’re stepping away briefly. Double-check doors, windows, and ignition locks.
- Remove all valuables – Items like helmets, sat navs, bags, and tools should never be left visible inside.
- Park in secure, well-lit areas – Use garages or driveways where possible. Avoid isolated or poorly lit spots.
- Use additional security devices – Steering wheel locks, disc locks, chains, ground anchors, and alarms are effective deterrents.
- Install tracking devices – These can assist in recovering stolen vehicles and act as a deterrent.
- Report suspicious activity – If you see anything unusual, call 101 or report anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
